COOLSchool Courses Have New Look
December 2005

COOLSchool is continuing to update course content and convert our remaining frame-based courses to a new, easier-to-navigate format. If you are enrolled in one of these courses, don't worry! Aside from the improved navigation and a new look and feel, your course will pretty much operate the way it used to.

We've highlighted the major changes below. Take a couple of minutes to review them and orient yourself to the new format. If you have questions or need further assistance, please contact us at cs-support@coolschool.k12.or.us.

Highlights

• Check your e-mail and your grades from the My Tools menu in the top navigation bar. We've moved all of the Educator tools, such as e-mail, profile, calendar, grades, announcements, and folders, to the My Tools menu.
  
  
  
  
• Access your lessons from the Lessons menu in the top navigation bar. When you are working in Lessons, you can move from lesson to lesson by using the side navigation on the right.
  
  
  
  
• Links to external resources (other Web sites) will open in new windows, so that you can still see your lesson while you are completing the activity at the other Web site. Close the external window when you are done with the activity, and you will be right back where you left off in the lesson.
• Getting Started, Survival Guide, Netiquette, and the Questionnaire have been replaced or removed. Getting Started and the Survival Guide have been incorporated in the online Student Orientation in the COOLSchool Student Center. You'll also find Netiquette in the COOLSchool Student Center. The Questionnaire has been removed.
