This is a college preparatory class and requires a great amount of self-discipline on the part of the student. It is text-driven, but the online enhancements provide great material to augment the information presented in the text. This is the first term of a two-semester course designed to prepare a student to write the College Board's Advanced Placement Calculus AB Test. The second term, Calculus II: Integral Calculus (AP Calculus 1.2) should be taken only after successful completion of Calculus I: Differential Calculus (AP Calculus 1.1).
