Lesson 2: Volcanoes
Background Information
In this first lesson you will be introduced to the world of Geology.
After learning a little about what geology is and how it might relate
to you, you will focus on one of the most important geological features
of Oregon: volcanoes. You will have the opportunity to go on a virtual
field trip to see some of the volcanoes of our state and you will
conduct a little research to help you learn why there are different
kinds of volcanoes and where they can be found. Finally, you will
begin to work on skills that will help you design an experiment
later in this course by developing an experimental plan to learn
more about Oregon's volcanoes.
