Lesson 13 - Medieval England--Chaucer

Chaucer is an important author in this period. He is the first famous author to write in the vernacular in England, and he is famous for his accurate portrayals of his fellow man. You may feel that you know the people he describes when you finish "The Prologue."
 

Reading

Read "The Prologue" to The Canterbury Tales.
(side-by-side Middle English and Modern English).
Remember to continue writing in your reading journal as you think about this work.
